Large Scale Wooden Curtain Rods From Select

Since three inch drapery rod diameter product isn't used very often, it's sometimes difficult to find a collection that has more than just a few options available. The Select Three Inch Collection has one of the widest assortments of finials and colors and it's a great place to start if you need large scale drapery hardware.

Typically, you would need to use a three inch, or large scale, drapery rod on a window that is really high or unusually long. If you install large scale hardware on a standard window at regular ceiling height, the size of the pieces usually overwhelms the treatment. Selecting the appropriate diameter for your curtain rods is always a matter of perspective. Larger scale drapery hardware is used on high or long windows, and smaller scale hardware, like one and three-eighths inch or two inch, is typically used on standard size windows. Of course, there are other situations where a larger scale treatment may look great on a standard window. Just make sure that you're prepared for the maximum impact these pieces will bring to your room design.

Select Drapery Hardware has a robust collection of large scale finials to choose from. You can choose basic End Caps or ornate finials for your drapery rods. And, you can choose from either wood or metal brackets. Mixing both wood and metal elements together in your curtain rod design is a great way to add a modern touch.

The wood drapery rods in the three inch diameter come in standard sizes. But, you can always trim them down to any length you need at home. Cutting down a wood pole is really easy, all you need is a simple hand saw or miter saw. And, if you need a larger width, you can join two poles together. Just make sure to use a center bracket where the two pole sections come together.
