Choose Your Smart Home Bridge

To connect your Forest Group rod to your smart home setup like Alexa, Google Nest, etc. you must have a bridge and the Forest Group App integrated with your smart home infrastructure. Depending on your Smart Home Setup and Motor, you must choose between the RF Bridge or the Wi-Fi Bridge. Shuttle iOn Motors only work with the RF Bridge. Typically you need only one bridge per household; you don't have to order one for each rod.

Wi-Fi Bridge: Choose the Wi-Fi Bridge if you want bi-directional communication between the motor and your Smart Home. Use of the Wi-Fi Bridge requires that you install the Forest Connect App on your smart device and the appropriate integration for your Smart Home System if you have one (like Home Assistant, Hubitat, etc.) The Wi-Fi Bridge will not work with Shuttle iOn Motors.

RF Bridge: The RF Bridge will mimic the RF Signal as if it originated from your remote. The RF Bridge does not communicate the motor position or status back to your Smart Home. A 3rd Party Smart Plug may be required. The RF Bridge can connect directly to the SmartThings App, Bond Bridge and other RF capable systems.

Wood Poles that are cut to size before shipping may have minor chipping on the cut ends extending 1/8" to 1/4" from the edge. The collar of the finial or end cap will cover this area. If joining poles, use the factory edges in the center.
