Large Scale Fashion Avenue Wood Curtain Rods By Gould NY

For really high windows or windows that are unusually long, the three inch Gould NY Fashion Avenue collection has all of the large scale drapery hardware you need for hanging your curtains. For the most part, you won't want to use a large scale like three inch on a regular window because the size of the drapery rod components will be too overwhelming. There are some situations where using a three inch size on a regular window may look fine, but usually it's just too big for normal windows.

Since three inch scale isn't commonly used, many drapery hardware brands don't offer you a lot of options. But, just about every style and option found in the smaller collections is also available with the three inch Fashion Avenue. They're just a lot bigger. You can choose from all of the most popular finials, rings and brackets. And, you can even find the upscaled three inch version of the popular twisted wood drapery rod.

Because the three inch size is so much bigger, it's also a lot heavier. You'll want to make sure that you use a support bracket every four linear feet of pole. And, if you're joining two wood drapery rods together to reach a longer width, don't forget the support where the two rods come together in the middle. When joining two three inch scale rods, it's usually suggested that you hang decorative side panels that don't open or close to reduce the strain on the center point where the poles connect.

Another option to consider if you're using side panels is to hang two independent drapery rods. You can hang one rod on the left side and other on the right side. It's common to use finials on the outermost ends of the rods and decorative end caps on the interior side of the poles.
