Heavy-Duty Curtain Rod Masters
Overlap Masters
(Pinch-Pleat Wheeled Version Shown)
Overlap Masters allow one panel to slide under
the other when closed and are the most common
master style for nearly all draperies except
Ripplefold. One-Way draw draperies use either
the right or left Overlap arm.
Butting Masters
(Ripplefold Slide Version Shown)
Butting Masters are the most common master
style for Ripplefold draperies and are never used
with any other drapery style. Ripplefold draperies
can also use Overlap Masters. Butting Masters
allow the folds to appear seamless when the
drapery is closed.
Master styles are rod dependent, not all Master styles are available for every rod. Some rods offer both
wheeled and slide versions of Masters, some have metal overlap arms and some do not. The Masters on
the rod you're considering may not look like the example images, but they will function as described.
Butting Masters have snaps for Ripplefold Snap Tape and should not be used with any other drapery style.
If you're not sure if you have a Ripplefold drapery, please consult with your drapery maker before ordering
a rod with Butting Masters.
