Carrier styles and options are rod dependent, not all carrier styles are available for every rod. Typically, molded (or friction) carrier styles are appropriate for light to medium weight fabrics. For heavier lined or interlined draperies, if the rod you're considering has a wheeled or ball-bearing carrier option, it would be your best choice. Slim-Line ball bearing carriers allow for a tighter stack leaving more window space when your curtains are open. Ripplefold carriers require the use of Ripplefold Snap Tape and are only appropriate for Ripplefold draperies. There are many carrier styles not shown here, these are the most commonly used.
